Traffic Alert

This script (scheduled with cron on a local linux server) checks for daily events on the schedule of the large hockey/event arena in Tampa that might affect my commute. Waze and Google Maps do not pick up on a road frequently closed when there is an event. The Telegram API makes for a great, free message service that sends any road closures to my phone.
